  • April 1st, 2013, 6:45 pm // 0 comments // Keela
  • Hail Klingon and Imperial Xeno Legion Warriors!

I am thrilled to announce that issue #3 of The Black Rope is finally finished!

I want to thank everyone who contributed articles and holo-images to this issue, especially Thought Admiral Krikor epetai-jechwI’ who has addressed the difficult question of why KAG does not accept huMans.

I also want to thank Captain qurgh zantai-lungqIj for web-slinging The Black Rope. Without his help and instructions, it could not have been done. Qapla'!

    Enjoy!

  • With all the talk about KAG's big 25 anniversary next year, this year (2013) has been overlooked. So I thought it is high time I corrected that. I would like to announce that I will be travelling to ConCarolinas this May-June to celebrate 24 years of KAG! I strongly urge any members within travel distance to join me there! I'm driving about 12 hours to get there; the same distance would include most of the Dark Moon Fleet, and a large chunk of the Cold Terror Fleet as well. Here is the convention website: http://concarolinas.org/

  • Announcing: Mindscanner #84!

  • Issue #84 of the Mindscanner, the official publication of the Klingon Assault Group, has just been released!

The Mindscanner has turned a corner somewhat. Admiral KwISt zantai-XuDetlh has, for many years, been the webweaver of the Mindscanner. He has passed that baton on to Captain qurgh zantai-lungqIj who has done a marvelous job with this issue. Not only did he train me to be more hands-on in the construction of this, and future issues, he developed a way to take what I and others upload and put it into a nearly identical format used by Twisty!

In addition, qurgh has put a Facebook like/share button under the Mindscanner logo on each page so that Warriors can like/share individual articles in the Mindscanner out to their Facebook pages. qurgh hopes that this will help get us a bit more exposure. Qapla'!!!!

Thanks to everyone who submitted pictures and articles. There is no set theme for this issue, but it appears to be mostly News and Neat Stuff. NEXT ISSUE will be Klingon and Alien Foods! This does not include beverages which I hope to cover in a future issue. So get those recipes, ideas for presentation, pictures, and anything you can think of that's food-related to me ASAP! Hopefully, this will be out in time for the Holidays!

    Meanwhile, enjoy Mindscanner #84!

  • Year number four begins in a new venue. Atomic Arts is presenting the TOS episode "Journey to Babel" every weekend in August at the amphitheater in Cathedral Park, underneath the fabulous St.John's Bridge. Shows begin at 5pm but get there really early to stake out good seats as the area will fill up fast. Bring chairs, blankets and coolers full of drinks and munchies and make an afternoon of it .

    Cost: Free...a very good price.
    More info: Facebook Event Page

Look for Qaolin (in TOS gear) on Sunday, 8/5 with his new allies and some old enemies. Temperature is forecast for a high of 86.

  • Hail!

I am thrilled to announce to all of our Imperial Xeno Legion Warriors, that issue #2 of The Black Rope is completed! There are holo-images of many of you in it!

I highly recommend that all of the Warriors of KAG check out what's going on with the Alien Mercenaries in service to the Klingon Empire, and the huge diversity of lifeforms we have in KAG's Imperial Xeno Legion.

I want to thank everyone who contributed articles and holo-images to this issue. I especially want to thank Admiral KwISt zantai-XuDetlh for once again web-slinging The Black Rope. Without his help, it could not have been done. Qapla'!

    Enjoy!

  • KAG was founded at Starbase Indy. Come and celebrate with us over Thanksgiving weekend here in Indianapolis. Starbase Indy is a fan-run Con, and we've got some great Klingon guests lined up this year:

    Gowron
    Martok
    Kavok
    Kolos
    Unnamed Klingon Commander (ENT "Borderland")

Ezri Dax (not a Klingon, but Curzon Dax is the godfather of Dax son of Kang and Ezri is a member of House Marok)

    And,

    John Paladin (make-up artist)

    And he's important because:

Robert O'Reilly & JG Hertzler will both attend SBI this year. BUT, they will not only appear as themselves, but as Gowron & Martok! That's right, on Saturday, both actors will be dressed in their character's persona. They will be on stage in character and then available for photo ops directly afterwards. Makeup artist, John Paladin, will be on hand for the makeup on Saturday. And, for all those cosplay fans out there, we will be selling raffle tickets on Friday and Saturday. The winner of the raffle will get to sit in the makeup chair on Sunday for the chance to transform into a Klingon! And, the winner gets to keep the headpiece! That's not enough? Well, we also have JG & Robert doing their Garage Brothers act (a spoof on the Blues Brothers) as the entertainment portion of the Dinner with the Stars.

Weekend passes are currently $35 and will be going up (in September?)
Children 12 and under are free.

Dinner with the Stars is $75-80 depending on which star you choose to dine with (seats are going fast!)

Check out http://starbaseindy.com/ for more details
