How do you want to be remembered?

By MarQIS

Over the years I have seen Klingons come and Klingons go. I have seen many that have great uniforms, and banners that now have layers of dust on them. I have seen Klingons that come in with the attitude that they are going to take over the world and step on anyone that gets in their way. I have seen Klingons with great ideas and plans that have had no voice, or the area they were in had no real bond.

I have seen the bad side of KAG when someone has been promoted over someone else and jealousy allowed hateful words and ideas to run throughout our ranks. I have seen Klingons leave due to hate. I have seen other Klingons leave due to their skin being too thin and not able to take a joke, or being able to dish it out but not take what they give. I have seen Klingons do things only for personal recognition and their own advancement.

However, I have seen Klingons scared to death of needles and yet they give blood to help someone they have never met. I have seen Klingons give the shirt off their back to help not only another Klingon but to help a stranger in need. Klingons take part in Jail and Bails, Blood Drives, Toys for Tots, etc… I have seen Klingons do some incredible things when their hearts get involved. I know most of us do not have a lot of money, but time we all have, time to stop and help even if it is just to let someone know you care, to listen to a problem, to be the shoulder for someone to cry on.

Personal combat is great. Pride is also great. Caring and doing your best to help someone in need is where real honor comes from.
